Prefabricated timber house at Valldoreix, Barcelona. This house was built on a metal structure system called Techno Pieux which could be unbuilt in the future. Temporary construction but also less impact to the surrounded Nature. The two storey house of 160m2 was designed in order to build its prefabricated walls and roof in 2 weeks.
The house works passively for most of the year because of the strategies of shading, solar system, and cross ventilation and as a result of its 20cm of wood fiber thermal insulation and the mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. For the days when passive strategies are not enough, the house has a high-tech pellets stove that distributes hot air through ducts throughout the rooms.
